Museum of Tomorrow – Technology Direction

Interactive and multimedia installations, and Technology Direction

SuperUber was responsible for the technology strategy, direction and install of the Museum of Tomorrow, created the Game of Civilizations and the Brain animations. As a museum with no physical collection, the permanent exhibition relies heavily on impactful interactive and immersive experiences to communicate its ideas. The narrative takes the visitor on a voyage to explore where we came from, where we are now, and to imagine possible futures for the next 50 years.

The museum’s technology strategy stands on three pillars. 1. It manages content and equipment automation in real time; 2. It recognizes visitors and tracks each person’s unique path through the content; 3. It connects to the Internet to bring news from around the world in real time so it is always up to date.

SuperUber also designed the Game of Civilizations, where visitors work together to manage the resources of planet Earth over 50 years, aligned with one of the main messages of the Museum: we’re all in this together, and we have the power to create the future we desire.

The technology design process is integrated with the overall curatorship creative process. SuperUber’s team custom-designed a technology solution that would be the Museum’s platform for communication and engagement. The goal is to make the technology disappear so the story can flow directly to the visitors.
